Will a strutbar put extra wear on other parts of the car, like suspsion and such? Does anyone know a strutbar that will fit a 4cyl diesel ?

Depends on the bar. The E46 is pretty stiff already, and most bars for it are pretty much just eye candy.

There are some bars that actually do something.
