OK - not to hijack an adjacent thread, and not to drag this topic out any more than it has... I read a bunch of the posts regarding these braces. I do think they look cool as hell - esp. that ACS one...

I understand physics and static structure, and know that it is the type of thing that is only effective under specific forces...

That declared, I am considering putting one on my sedan with sport suspension. Obviously, the sedans have more body roll than an M3. However, has anyone used one with my example? I find my sport suspension to have almost no body roll under moderate force, and very minimal lean on very hard cornering...

What's the word?

I have a front and rear strut brace and while E46 chassis' are quite rigid the performance gain is noticable but quite minimal.

Also keep in mind strut braces reduce body flexing under cornering NOT body roll. If you want even less lean/body roll buy some sway bars.

It functions under tension. I find that it makes the car understeer in a far more controllable fashion than without.

Before I got it, if I went into a turn at autox too fast, I'd get massive squealing and sidewall roll. With it, I experience slightly higher cornering limits, less squealing and less sidewall roll. Slalom transitions are dramatically better.
