bands and servos? wutthere is a special tool to remove those springs. It's still a pain in the ass even with it.
why do you think there is a filter and the magnet in the pan. What did the bands and servo's look like?
the clutches and pressure plates look to be fine
Nothing is a waste. But the tranny was fubar for reasons unknown. I knew the reverse solenoid was bad but I'll take it apart again and look at everything more closely later. Maybe then I'll figure it out.
Very nice. Maybe I missed this, but why waste the tranny though?
yep, they would have spun for hours if we didnt stop them. They were literally frictionless, well almost.wow beautiful. In the pictures I noticed you spun the parts. Was it really that easy to spin?
Aleks, this:I know what it is. How does an automatic transmission "remind" you of a 27km long tunnel?
I wish Miles, it was just something I didnt feel like messing with at the time. Those gears were sharp as fack, my hands hurt so bad.Nice neil! Though you probably should have reassembled it correctly and sold it for a few hundred bucks, lol.
:str8pimpii think im going to show this to my physics professor haha. he and i just had a conversation of how auto transmissions work.
I wouldnt mess with it period. There is just no point, at least up until 150k miles at minimum. That's just my opinion from what I've observed here. Now that you've seen it inside...What looks like the possible area(s), parts of the tranny that can be harmed by changing fluid? (the theory that gunk dislodges and cloggs something else). Or is it the complexity of the whole thing that makes you decide against the fluid change?
Good job!
haha, I really hope you guys appreciate the quality of the photos. Under normal circumstances I would have just grabbed my point and shoot. I felt that the d60 would better serve you guys :luv:crappy camera![]()
Show some respect...
