They wanted $1200 for a 2008 Honda Accord bumper a few years ago when my girl banged her car in the parking lot.

The next day we called the Central Avenue Honda Dealership's recommended body shop and it was only $600 for a new oem bumper painted.

nope, kingston ny, see, they have this policy of taking off all your tires even if its just for an inspection and selling you stuff you don't really need

anyhow, go there for summer tires on my civic, front wheel bearing is bad, and it was, since its pressed in i said just do it, charged me $180......2 weeks later i jack it up and its bad as fack, so i go to monro , the bearing wasn't even seated in the knuckle , and since the asshat couldn't seat it, he just decided to send me out on the road without the c lip that holds the bearing in the knuckle, basically the spindle nut holding everything..............soooooo, had to spend $170 on a hub, $50 on a bearing, $7 on a clip.$10 on studs and $80 on labor to have it done right, plus car was out of commision cuz parts were from dealer

so i go back to mavis with documentation from monro that the c clip was missing, bearing wasn't seated and all cotter pins were missing, i explain this to the manager, who of course gave me a tude, cuz after all butchering my car wasn't enough, after i explained it i went to show him monros' notes, he said "i dont need to see that" i says, you don't care about the work your guys do? he says " i dont care what one of your buddies at another shop has to say about it" one of my buddies? just another shop............he then proceeded to refund me my $180 with a tude ,cuz he knew i had em, mostly 5 dolla bills, then tells me to have a pleasant weekend, had all i could do to restrain and keep my mouth shut cuz it just wasn't worth it

you send me out on the road with missing parts?

oh, and they wanted $180 per side to install control arms, i got em and did em myself in 45 mins for $100 total, so there's $260 they didn't get ,lol
