Whenever I get out of the car with the ebrake on, I hear this horrible craking noise from the back of the car. Also, if I shake the car with the ebrake on it does the same thing. Any ideas how to fix this?

it is just the ebrake moving a bit..it isnt bad..you can rid yourself of this by leaving the car in gear and notusing the ebrake at all

I took my car in for that (as well as some other) problems. I'm glad to see its not just my fat azz. Or maybe abefroman has one too from all dem sausages.

You need to "exercise" your emergency brake. When coming to a stop (at a light, for instance), lightly apply the emergency brake. This wears-off accumulated rust on the e-brake drum.

i have this problem too. when i get in and out of the car i hear a squeek coming from the drivers side rear tire. i think it's the shocks or something. :dunno:

haha, I use that have a squeak that seemed to be coming from the rear driver-side. I always thought my 300-lbs butt was causing it. But then it just went away after a while, and I haven't heard it since...
