I have a yard of black alcatara available. When i purchased i was told it is not automtive grade but for home furnishings. Check out gulffabrics.com or call them for more info. They are one of the main distributors and are located in FL.

for the auto environment, you certianly need the auto grade - the UV ratings on auto grade are much higher - but the headliner is not alcantara on a M3...
