The 02 5 spd 325 needs valve seals and a clutch, the 04 6spd 330xi i bought to fix but after many tries at getting the driveshaft straight I've determined its got to be a problem in the rear end since it looks like they lowered it down on something when it was on a lift but the motor starts and runs great(despite having 201k miles) . So my plan is to swap motor ecu cluster and all into the 325 from the 330 then getting a limited slip differential to make the car more enjoyable
My questions are:
Are there differences in the 3.0 from an xi and non awd model?
Do i have to swap the wiring harness or should it just be plug and play?( besides the maf maybe from what I've searched still not clear on that)
Any suggestions on flywheel clutch combination?
Has anyone experienced suspension issues after the swap due to what i would only assume would be a slight increase in front end weight?
And are there any "common issues" with this swap.
I own both cars so all the parts are available i just rather know everything ahead of time to get a clear plan and document as i go along.
