I got my snows mounted Tuesday evening last week. I finished up just as snowflakes were falling on my head. The H speed rated Michelin Pilot Alpins (205/50/17) were great in the 3" of wet snow I got last week and do not seem to be scary in dry conditions. I pushed the car a little last night on my way home from a hockey game and found the tires to be adequate for dry use too.

The 195/65/14 Blizzak WS-50s I just ordered for my E30 do not look like they will be as confidence inspiring in dry conditions but the soft rubber and deep tread blocks will probably make the car drive like a tank in the snow.

Get some cheapo curb rashed factory take offs or some cheap steel wheels and get snows for your sled before you bounce off a curb. Do it! You have been warned.
