Getting out of my car tonight I was freaked to see smoke or steam(?) pouring out of my left rear wheel well. It was all the way around the tire and I could smell burning. I quickly checked the other rear -- it seemed fine.
After a quick trip in the house I came back and there was no more smoke. I had the rear rotors/pads replaced about a month ago. I tried to feel if the rotors were smooth, but I have my steel rims/snow tires on. They did feel plenty hot, and this could've been steam... but it's only about 30 degrees outside and this was the only one smoking.
Is this something to worry about?
At this point I am inclined to take my car back to the shop that did the install for a quick inspection.
Any comments?
