Hello, I just finished the inspection II, vanos rebuilt and rod bearing replacement. even I don't think I need vanos and rod bearing but the shop highly recommended me to do that. anyway spend over $4k there, I feel the car should be worry free to drive.

But yesterday i drive it out when finally rain stops in Seattle. I experienced very rough shaking when accelerate from fully stop at 1st or 2nd gear when the road has some small slope uphill. it stops after I keep driving or upshift.

I have CSL SMG flashed and also DME CSL rev matching and SMG inertia update. I observed the same shaking before csl and dme flash.
I have recalibrated SMG using INPA
I have reset SMG by holding both paddles at neutral with 40MPH
It seems none of those helps.

My guess is the clutch or flywheel? MAP sensor? But at this 41k miles, I expect clutch and flywheel should be good.

It is really feel bad during the traffic when this happens. Attached are two videos I recorded when it happens.
Please help me out.

At only 41K miles and have the VANOS rebuild and rod bearings replace is a bad way to spend moneys.
Agreed I feel the same only want to do inspection ii but at this very famous work shop in Seattle area or even national. I trusted him bcz he says seen failure early even at lower miles. But after all done I still feel it is not necessary.

When you recalibrated via INPA, did it do the whole bleeding process? Did you check your SMG reservoir during the process to make sure it didn't suck any air?
Yes I did the whole bleeding process first. I didn't check the SMG reservoir during the process. Don't know this step how to check that? I will also do a Goole search about this. Thx.

Btw some update about this, last weekend I recleaning the MAP sensor again and did another round of INPA smg adaptation. I didn't observed same bucking and surging around 1st and 2nd gear. Maybe Seattle weather went up also helps? But the car drives much better than before from fully stops.

After drive it around 80 miles. I lift it up and check the leaking area ppi found. The original area around transmission plug is fine now no oil shows. but now I think I found another area may have oil leaks. I may start a new post about this.
