Instead of buying the Titanium Headlight trim replacements for $80 I am going to just paint them myself. My car is Titanium Silver...would a regular high-temp silver with a clear coat look ok for the trim even though it will not match the color of my car?

What do you guys think? Any other colors for the trim that would look good on my car other than the dull black that it is now?

High temp silver paint from Home Depot worked for me. I have had alot of compliments on mine, and I have painted several other headlight trims. I also used the same paint on my engine covers, fog light trim, grilles, and rear bumper strip:

That looks GREAT. Did you sand/primer/paint/clearcoat? Did you get everything at home depot?

I just used mineral spirits to clean the surface really well. I put a very thin coat of primer, and then a few layers of paint (Dupli Color High Temp aluminum paint) - everything is available at home depot for 5-10 dollars

I painted my fog trim

The front looks SO much better with the fog trim/fins painted silver. I'm not to keen on the headlight trim though. I recommend plastic primer. If you can't find it in the store, you can find it online somewhere. Although from everyones experience, they just cleaned the trim and painted.

can i get a pic of your rear bumper strip, i wanna see if the paint matches, and do you get any chippings on the fog light trims?
I think you mean Thais0n, not me :)

Parch, do you have any other pics? Daytime pics, closeups etc. It looks like silver trim in that pic because of the light.
