I just wanted to clear this up because in the past Ive posted and asked about this.
My SES light has been on for 2 years running. Infamous E3 and E4 codes. Every now and then it goes off by itselfs for a day the comes right back. I used to ask around here if I could go get the car inspected when it turns off.
90% of the answers was that the car has these codes stored still and it will fail.
This morning the light turned off, Went directly to Bosch, Got inspected. I asked about the OBD readings and they even showed me that ever monitor came back "READY" with No faults.
Just thought this may be helpful to some others cept 90% of people believed you wouldnt pass inspection in this scenario.
