I was stopped at a light and a salt truck passed me in the lane next to me and blasted the side of my car with rock salt. it didn't sound pretty, and i didnt get a change to inspect if some paint was chipped. Has this ever happened to anyone?

This happened to me, but with the truck, not the BMW. I always pull over and let them go by

sh*t man, that's happened to me so many times. Don't worry about it. Provided it was just salt and sand that hit the car and not a big rock, you should be fine....:thumbup:

Happened to me last night as well. I should have passed it when I had the chance before it started dropping the salt.

I checked my car when I got home and I didn't see any damage, just more dirt.

I did however find a big bird bomb on my front bumer. I had to open the hood to get it all off. Good thing I had the emergency supplies in the trunk.

SPEED AWAY, TURN ETC

a lot of salt truck drivers otherwise called mature children love salting performance cars. They always come closer to me when they see my car. That's why I always drive in the emergency lane when they are approaching expecially because there are few nice bimmers in pittsburgh.
