i was reading gs430 thread, good thread. i saw a yellow s2000 with bright xenon at night. it came out behind and immediately tailgate me. there was a red light before right turn to highway so everyone stopped. this put small distance between us. it was a long ramp. i keep checking mirror and can hear his s2000 engine gunning. once we're on hwy, it pulled away so fast i didn't have time to switch lane. i step on gas but limit it to 5000 rpm coz my car just passed break-in. and i never saw it again...:tsk:

s2000 will take the 330 and is about even or a little faster than an E36 M3 with a few mods.

This was highway rolls from about 65 to 120ish

its weight advantage makes up for the torque disadvantage at higher speeds, however it is possible to take them from 0-60....they are hard to launch well from what i hear....

yep, we hit a section of hilly highway and i could pull on him up the hills with the tq.

Doesn't help that he was solo and Mark's fat ass was riding gun :lmao:

Mine friends vortech supercharged S2k will rape any e46 and will give one hell of a good run against an M3...I have driven it many a time and I helped him put on the supercharger, it has Eibach springs and comptech sways (I swear the car has 0% body roll) and in a twistie road course race I could almost garuntee a victory against a e46M3...but yea stock no low end power a 330ci could actually have a chance cause I remember I had to launch at 4900 to get good launch

Wanna bet? I ran an s2k and he got the jump on me from a 60 mph roll. I was in 3rd gear at 60 (should have been in second, but would have only been in second for 8mph) and we were even through the whole gear, until I hit 4th and started to pull. They are quick lil things in 3rd gear @ 7k+ rpm.

Ummm, the stock E46 M3 takes the S2000 easy. Re-read my post, i said E36.

I beat a S2000 with a 50 shot of nos - it was embarsing for him

I talked to him randomly a few days after...thats how i knew he had the 50 shot and did hit it

ok follow me i am not going to break it down but believe me i will later if you want

1 gruppe m intake
2 comp chip
3 391 gear gives you some needed tq
4 larger port injectors
5 hi exhaust system
6 plus headers i am sure these things can give you 40 or 45 hp
and close to 40 more lbs of tq for a 03m3 once very thing is in place.
but it will cost you i say 5 to 7,000 i think in that ball field

Do you have 3.91's on your m3? If you do, where did you get them and how much? I want a shorter final drive, BADLY.

40 - 45 hp from those mods on an e46m3 is really, really, really wishful thinking.
