All my searches in trying to diagnose this problem have led me to people describing problems with the MAF sensor and the ICV. But, I haven't found my exact set of symptoms. Here's the deal:

-No Engine Light.
-Engine runs rough/loud up to about 2800 RPM (regardless of whether it is in D or in P). Above 2800 RPM it immediately smooths out....like a switch being flipped.
-Under the hood I can hear a slight clicking at the transition from under to over 2800 RPM, almost like electrical arc'ing.
-I haven't noticed a loss of power but it's possible if this has been a slow decline.

Thoughts? All I can come up with after reading numerous posts is that I need to clean the MAF and/or the ICV.
