Rubbing

Hello,

Have been visiting this site for awhile.
This is my first post. Anyway, I have a sedan with sport susp. Wondering if I lower my car, will it rub (+/- passengers in rear)? I have 18x8.5 with ET 35 and 235/40/18 all around. Thanks. I was considering either HR sport or Eibach Pro.

Hey James -

i don't have the exact springs that you're thinking about installing (i have the dinan suspension and i think uses springs made by eibach). i suspect your springs may have a lower drop.

I have the same size and off-set wheel and the only rubbing that occured on my sedan was the left rear rubbed against the rear bumper clip/mount. I had the piece sanded down, and I believe this resolved the problem.

Sorry, I mis-read the original post. I have 18x8.5, but my offset is et38. Given what I've experienced every millimeter counts and so you could possibly have some rubbing with an off-set of et35 (as was pointed out above) - a fender roll should resolve (so hopefully you'll find someone that can do it in your area).

I don't believe the rubbing for me was hitting the fender, and only the plastic clip was making contact with the tire - I had it shaved thinner.

Good Luck!
