Hi I have a 2001 BMW 330Ci, and I am looking to get some new rims on it, but I am so clueless when it comes to the world of rims. I have the stock sport package 17" M style wheels on it right now, and my tires are Bridgestone Potenza 225 45R17 91W in the front and in the back I have Bridgestone Potenza 245 40R17 91W. I am looking at rims that are 18x8 in the front and in the back are 18x9. Will these rims fit on the tires, or should I go smaller to the stock 17" size?? Please help me!!!! Thanks !!! You guys are the best!!!

you would have to stretch the tires in order for them to fit

Keep on stretching man....

OP, dude you can not fit 17 inch tire onto a 18 inch rim.
For those size rims you'll need 225/40/18 fronts and 255/35/18 backs(ya that sound good for daily driving)

18x8 in the front and 18x9 will most likely fit depending on the offset. just get the right tires, dont try to put the ones from your 17's on there.

i hope you guys are totally kidding....... i dont think the OP meant he was reusing tires. I think he wants some good advice on a good tire/wheel package. i would hit up craigslist if your looking used, also this forums classifieds as well as other bimmer forums.

Hahah, funny thread.
And you DON'T need 19s especially if you have crappy roads in your area.

18s FTW. Cheaper tires, better ride, and still looks great. Plus you sit lower on 18s.
