I just ordered a Rieger front add on for my car....now i'm looking at some splitters...i tried to search the board but did not find the type of Splitter i was looking for...

do you guys think it will look weird if i put a splitter that goes all the way accross the bottom of the add on? i don't want the splitters that are attached to the side of the add on, i want the splitter to run accross the bottom of the kit....

would the hamann splitter fit on the rieger add on? what other type of splitters can i also use....money is no issue, i just save some money buying used parts so i have some to spend...i'm just trying to gather all the parts now so come spring time i can unload on the modding...thanks in advance

i highly doubt that hamann 1pc lip will fit since it was never desgined for anything else BUT the m3 bumper.

if you decide to have the 2 piece on your car

search for XS3X's car, he has the exact same setup

hmmm, see if someone can do a Pshot with the Hamann splitter. I think if you do a splitter you would have to Mould the rieger add on into 1 piece for it to look right with a splitter attached

Yes i have seen it on his car...that's why i don't want to copy him...;)

i've seen some universal carbon fiber splitter...but it's on japanese cars though...

His car looks very good...however i want to try something new...no offense, but there are so many look-alikes on this board....what ever happened to originality?...well i'm gonna test it out, then if it looks like ****...you guys can say "I told you so"

And your car is hot E46boy....looks very mean

Good for you, there are only a couple people on this board who try to be original with their mods. E46boy for one kicka$$ CSL trunk, all the Europrojekt guys, ultimateone one when he had his e46 and a few others. the problem is that it's hard to be original mostly becasue it will cost a great deal more(and if it looks crappy you'll have to do it over), but if you have a good idea, and know a little bit about what your doing you can really set yourself apart from the others.

thanks for the support...but i used to own a Prelude...and customed molded my front lip into the bumper and flushed the sideskirts to the body...i know a thing or two when it comes to body work....also sanded down the whole car 3 times to paint...failure will be unlikely, but if i do fail....i can always do it again and learn from it...i'll likely get a replica hamann front splitter...it's made of fiber glass...mold the rieger front to the bumper....and graft the splitter on...cutting or extending a piece of fiber glass to be painted is a piece of cake...just takes time and patience. it's a little early now....but around march or april you guys will see the finished product..

yeah fiberglassing comes in handy, I moulded my bumper together and built a center console with a ps2 in it
pic

Good luck with the project, can't wait to see how it comes out

I think i will get a Splitter from Buddy Club...they make universal ones for Japanese cars...if i give them the dimensions of the front bumper...they should be able to get me one that fit...hehe can't wait...damn snow, delaying everything..

Hmmmm yeah i'm surprised no one on this board have used a splitter for the Rieger front add on...I do hope it turns out okay...

I wish it was spring right now...you dont know what it's like to have your garage full of crap and you can't put it on because of the weather conditions...it's like giving a crackhead a pipe and tell him not to smoke it...

hey...what are you gonna do about the sides and rear? you just gonna leave it stock?

I don't know :dunno: I think I am boing to go w/ the ACS rear but I kinda like the stock sides...I just wish they were lower. Alot of people have told me to get the regular Hamann sides, but they are a little to square for my car, I think! Where do you live anyway?:eeps:

I live in Virginia....winter is very unpredictable here....just two weeks ago we had 6 inches of snow....and this week it's in the 60's...hey, i think you should get the M3 sides...it will flow perfect with the car...but then it will look like that guy's car i posted up there...i don't like ACS sides, it kinds curve inwards, and hamann, too squared like you said....you don't like the Rieger sides? I'm doing Rieger front, rieger sides, and possible Hamann GTR rear or Hamann Add on...still thinking...

Yeah, I hear ya, Igrew up in Balto. I was thinking of the m3 sides, but they are very wide to compliment the fenders on the m3. My wheels have nooo lip and I didnt want the sides to flair out and the wheels be tucked in :banghead: I don't know!!!
