Having just hit 100k, my E46 was looking and feeling a bit tired. I felt that one of the best ways to make it look newer was to fix my old, clouded headlight lenses. I tried several different headlamp restorer products, to no avail. After the third try, I decided it was time to replace the lenses. I called my dealer, and was told that OE replacements would be $160 for each side, and decided that $300 plus was way too much to spend on a project like this. After surfing around for a bit, I found Khoalty’s replacement lenses, which included both sides for just $80. I decided that for 1/4th of the price of the OE ones, it was worth a try.

Here’s a shot of my car before, with the cloudy lenses:

Comparison of the OEM lens and a new one from Khoalty:

Overall the new lenses have been great. They are unbelievably easy to change, taking less than ten minutes for both. The Khoalty ones seem to be of the exact same quality as the OEM, and I noticed no difference in design between the two. They are equally heavy, and are identical as far as I can tell. When I first put them on, I noticed a bit of condensation in the light after going to the car wash, but after a lot of careful adjusting, it is now completely sealed from water. All things considered, I’d buy these again if I had to, and completely recommend the Khoalty lenses to anyone needing to replace theirs.
