Resistor on the mass air flow sensor behind intake making it raise at least 10 hp?!?!

is this a rumor or what if not thats awsome i heard if u mount the resistor on the maf sensor the sensor reads that its getting to hot so it needs more air intake to cool off the sensor more air equals more fuel/power.

is this rumor true?
