Guys

Is it easy to remove the window mouldings? By that I mean the black strips which run above the side windows on both sides of the car.

I've noticed on some E46s these are gloss black or chrome, and on others (like mine) they have a rubbery finish which doesn't wear well with age. I'd like to get them repainted in gloss black along with a few other bits.

Thanks

The window moldings are a total PITA to remove; not to mention being really easy to bend...
They're easy enough to paint while on the car; I've done multiple cars myself.
Online retailers like AutomotiveTouchUp even carry OEM colors so you can get a near perfect match.

The black we have on 325i is not metal, it's rubber. I doubt you could get what you want without new trim pieces. I recently replaced my water spotted chrome one with the black rubber ones because the black gloss is SO expensive.
