So my brothers 2003 325xi redlines at 6000 rpm and my 2004 325i redlines at 6500 rpm's. Whats the deal with this? Doesn't make sense to me.

Dude, I understand that but I wasn't sure if it was something people knew more about or what. I know for performance models of 330's they have a higher redline and that was a bid deal. So I was just wondering if anyone knew anything else.

I have an '01 325xi and it redlines at 6500. The caution is at 6000 but it doesn't go solid red on the tach until 6500. That's also where the fuel cutoff is. Chanes are your brother's 325xi also redlines at 6500. Have him rev it up and see if he can get past 6000. Do this in gear. Don't stand on it in neutral. :)
