Ok, I have been wanting to do this for a awhile but have not had the chance... until now!

Here are some recordings of what a stock 330ci sounds like. I do, however, have the exhaust flap disabled.

I used a Neumann TLM-103 positioned in the manner shown above. Phantom power is provided by a Mackie 1402-VLZ Pro which has XDR low noise mic preamps. The mix is then fed to a portable Mini-Disc recorder. The recording is then dumped on to my DAW via 24-bit convertors. I then coverted the resulting audio (after maximizing audio) to mp3. (Note: there was no equalization on these recordings except for a lo-cut at 75hz on the mic to prevent rumbling.)

For good measure I will include this pic of my newly painted reflectors!

My next project is to record the BenFer CAI when I get it intalled.

Later!
Drew.

Don't worry, I will next time. What's a good RPM to stay below? (I've heard it's not a good thing just to rev the engine while it isn't under load.)
You can rev it to 6500, but dont do it suddenly and don't make a habbit of it....if you rev it suddenly, there is no load on the engine, you may float your valves....
yeah, i mean gradually, dont just floor it to 6500
