Does anyone know if the 2004 M3 rear lamp kit will fit on the early 2003 M3 Model?

great! I want to replace my rear lamps with the new 2004 type.
Do you have part numbers and price?

I went to my dealer and they said any 2003 model with production date before MArch 03 will not work. Any model after March 03 will.

My M3 has a production date of September 2002.

I bought my set from circlebmw (located in nj) but you might want to try pacificbmw. Here are the part numbers:

bmw 61 12 0 153 650 (cable set)
bmw 63 21 6 920 699 (rear light)
bmw 63 21 6 920 700 (rear light)
bmw 63 21 6 920 701 (bulb carrier)
bmw 63 21 6 920 702 (bulb carrier)
bmw 63 21 6 920 705 (tail light)
bmw 63 21 6 920 706 (tail light)
bmw 63 21 6 933 017 (covering)
bmw 63 21 6 933 018 (covering)

the total for me came out to a little under 540, shipping included.

oh, forgot to mention. My M3 is also a 2003 model (pre facelift). Not sure of the build date, but i'm sure it's similiar to yours.

Thats great news. Did you put it on yourself? What other mods did you have on your car? got pics?

Yeah, I installed them myself. It took under an hour.
I don't have many mods, but thus far I have painted front reflectors, bluetooth retrofit, piaa plasmawhite fogs, and the led tails (all of which I installed myself).
I don't have any pics of my car after the mods, but I'll be sure to post some soon.

yes, this is in reference to the LED tails. And yes, they should work with 2001 m3's.

oooo I want I want but I saw somewhere in this forum that the LED's might not work on a 2001 and if it did somekind of special relay or something had to be bought and the kit that has to be bought is different then the ones for the 2003 and 2002

Are there instructions on how to do it yourself. I just purchased it from pacificbmw for $520. That is all the part numbers you provided. How difficult was it?

It's not too hard at all. It took me under an hour for the installation (I've installed clear corners on my old sedan...so i do have some experience). If you need any help, let me know.

the parts listed in the mms tuning package doesn't include the interior trunk lights, nor the lights for the trunklid. so you're good to go=)
