Hey, I was just sitting here bored and just thought about ram intakes after reading somebody elses thread about side exhaust, it got me thnking about domestics, hence the ram. Has anyone ever tried this on our cars? I don't know the exact mechanics behind it or if its possible but I didnt find anything on search, but then again "ram" is too short so it leaves it out.

In theory, a well designed true "ram-air" intake is suppost to give positive displacement, but you'd have to be traveling well past 100mph. The positive displacement effect is incremental though (more than likely will only register 1psi on a boost gauge if your lucky), so there is no real benefit on street driven cars.

well the stock setup is called high-pressure, so in a way....when getting an intake make sure it has a heat shield and has the hole for the hose that comes over from thye front....to read more on intakes....
