Recently I noticed the fluid in my
auto dimming rear view mirror is failing and was ready to start leaking. I have removed it but would like to know if it is at all possible to open the unit and clear out the fluid. I know it will defeat the auto-dimmer but I really don't need this as my car is tinted. how do you open this thing? Thanks in advance.

Nevermind. I got it open. It opens up much like a remote control but its very well put together and requires some finess to avoid scuffing or marking. A couple of clips might break off but it's no problem. I wiped off the chemical and gave it a good cleaning. Looks great.
