Hubcentric means that the wheel is centered on the mounting hub of the car. All BMW wheels should be hub centric. All wheels from the factory are hubcentric.
Aftermarket wheels are usually made NOT hubcentric, instead they use hub rings to adapt the wheel to various vehicles and make them hub centric.
For example, BMW uses a 72.5mm bore, Audi/VW uses a 57.1mm bore, and MB uses a 66.5mm bore.
So when a wheel company wants to make a generic wheel, they usually make a large center bore on the wheel, like 73mm, then use various rings to change that bore to fit whatever vehicle it's on.
The rings are critical for proper mounting and load bearing.
