Hi Guys, I need help here. I have bought the OEM center armrest and I want to install them on my car, but before I install them, I need ypu pull out my my gearshift which mine is Automatic, do you guys have any idea how to pull that out?
Please let me know

Do you have to remove the shiftknob itself? Why not remove the shift boot , pull it up over the shiftknob to get out of the way to the bolts holding the center console on. I don't think removal of the shiftknob is required when you replace the armrest. Look in the tech forum to see how to access what you need to do before you start pulling things off.

You do NOT have to remove the gearshift..

Just remove the PRNDL cover by gently grabbing the boot and it will pop off..

Then you'll see the two screws that hold the plate..

Remove them and underneath are the two screws that hold the center console down..

BTW, if you didn't buy/get the install kit that comes with the retrofit, you'll need a slightly longer bolt (about 1/4" longer) to attach the rear of the new console to the e-brake mounting..

Also, be very careful when you lift the rear of the old console where the light plugs in to the rear ashtray..
