Gday its beautiful outside isn't it!

Just wondering if anyone is familiar with retrofitting projector shrouds such as this one:

is it just a simple swap and you'll get the "cut off" or is there more to it?

need a pic of the back to see what they come with, but yes, they should include the cutoffs...... which are easily reversible for RHD

Not all have the switchable cutoff plate :ben:

afaik only the zkw branded ones come with reversible cutoffs, i dont think you can put zkw shrouds in an AL housing

I've got a set here in bits from the states that I'm trying to do. They're Bosch not ZKW but when I finally find my Torx screwdriver I'll take some pics of the non-switchable cutoff. Its just a piece of tin so worst case scenario I'll cut it, reverse it, and epoxy another bit of tin on as a splint to reattach it. Its not going to be the trickiest thing to do though really.

Benefits to getting the AL as opposed to the ZKWs with the switchable cut off is the bixenon solenoid on the ALs don't need an additional controller to have them stay in high beam state.
The solenoid used in the ZKWs if you hold charge to the solenoid it will burn it out. <-- this is of course only applicable if you aren't going to use OEM ZKW ballasts and ignitier.

They fit either way.. :shhh:
