does anyone know if i can register a used car ....i am 17 yrs old this yr...??
i plan to buy a used car from someone but can i register it as my car afterwards? i am 17 yrs old
i heard that u can register a used car if you are under 18 ...but not a new car?is that right

Why don't you give your local department of motor vehicles a call or go to their web site and ask them if you have to be 18 to register the car? :dunno:

I believe this applys to all states because it is generally accepted common law. You cannot register a car unless you are of majority (18yrs old) or an emancipated minor. Unemancipated minors do not have capacity to contract. A vehicle registration is a contract with the state.
