when it says to use mineral spririts and alcohol to wipe down the area before sticking the spoiler on, what is the purpose of that??? to clean it???? i heard that it is to strip the way, but then wouldn't the spoiler be stuck onto the paint???? that would probably make it hard to remove the spoiler without removing paint, wouldn't it??? please help me.......

It's purpose is to remove any road oil/dirt off your paint. It will also remove any wax you have applied. This will help the double-sided tape stick better. The tape is not strong enough to pull paint off. You have clearcoat to prevent that from happening. :)
