You cannot use conventional powder coating on plastic

powder coating is designed for metal, because you have to put an electrical charge to get the powder to stick then you bake it at high temp. So if you try to powder coat the engine cover you wouldnt get the powder to stick and even if you could (which you cant) the high baking temp would warp or melt the cover. So the best way would be to use a high temp spray paint.

ohhh ok guess I wasnt clear on powder coat..I had seen it on some other imports but I guess they didnt have plactic engine covers
