Read this code on my 2002 325i. Wondering where to start.
Symptoms: SES light comes on after hard accelerations, then goes away after a day or two. Stalls like 1 or 2 times a month.
Should I straight up replace the sensor? Or should I do some diagnosing first? I'm not sure where to start. I also have a pesky oil and coolant leak. Could this have messed up some of the wiring? I am by no means a mechanic but I have some wrenching experience. Any advice would be much appreciated.

1. Fix coolant leak before an overheat happens and you need a new engine
2. Change the camshaft position sensor only with OEM sensors. The E46 hates aftermarket sensors.
3. Take your time and fix the oil leaks

Got the same code on my 325 last week. I did notice a drop in performance and idle. Got new sensor from Rusnak BMW in Thousand Oaks CA. Dont forget the "O" ring!! $143.00 out the door.
Took maybe 15 minutes to change out.
Car runs perfect !!!!

You could have paid only $29 for the same part from fcpeuro.

That part is OE, same as what you bought without the BMW logo.
Dealer should always be a last resort. :read:

Thanks for the link. Is this the exhaust sensor or intake?

EDIT: Nevermind, saw in the description it's the exhaust sensor for the 2002 325i.
