My 325i E46 motor 2002 model I've been having problems with the temperature gauge going into overheat so I've changed the thermostat that was not working all this happened as in the winter time of November and December there was no heat working in the car when I put it on 80°, it did not heat up I did not get any over temperature in the morning lights so I continue to drive the car until the springtime which was in something like March the temperature gauge went into overheat before we change the thermostat after we replaced the thermostat after that I drove it and the temperature gauge went on red as overheating it said so we bought a bottom temperature gauge to replace because the water is flowing and not stopped up in the system with no leaks at this time it is running over 110° c i put an external temperature gauge in it and it went into alarm and 110 c or at the red line where the alarm went on in my temperature gauge the one in the car would stay on after it run for about a half an hour idling the red light would come on in the car for over temperature I think it's the motor temperature gauge that's bad I guess

I don't think it's the bad temp gauge, but bad bleeding caused this overheat. Proof: a bad temp sensor on the engine should not cause the cabin heater having no heat, which is most of the time was caused by bad bleeding method.

Why not asking for help 6 months ago? I really think the cylinder head is damaged from all of these overheat events.

OP - Welcome...

Would you please break your posts into smaller sentences and paragraphs? It was hard to follow.
Also, If you are using voice to text to post, I suggest you stop doing so, or at least edit it..

Overheats are pretty bad in these cars. They can lead to a warped cylinder head in 30 seconds. They need to be fixed aggressively...You likely do not have a bad temperature gauge, and a thermostat can cause an overheat, but usually not.

Everybody on these forums wants to fix their own car for as little $$ as possible...Fine, but do you have the skills and the tools? You might be better off bringing it to a non-dealer BMW specialist. Once you get it fixed, running and cooling, you can do other work yourself.

You say you have no leaks, no heat, but coolant is flowing. This is a near impossibility. It sounds to me like you have a flow problem. Your water pump may be bad or there may be something (like hardened stop leak) that is preventing coolant from moving around..The cooling system may also have an air pocket or bubble.

I suggest you take it to a qualified non-dealer BMW specialist.
