OK to put 89 octane in 330?

Hey all, the manual says only put premium.. but cmon is it gonna make that big of a deal to put 89 in a 330?? I know in an M3 you would have to... what do you put in yours? Any problems with 89??

according to my manual u can. supposdly our cars have an "automatic knock sensor" or somethin like that. ur car will perform "worst" but it will not damage the engine (so it says). i would jus make sure to fill up with the lower grade octane once the tank is as empty as possible, im jus not comfertable with mixing gas.
