I have an 330i and its 5000 miles is coming up. Should I following BMW maintenance guidelines (15000 miles) or bring it in for an oil change without resetting the maintenance reminder on the car? What is best for everyday stop and go type of driving?

Dont reset it and change it yourself. My first oil change was at 1800 miles, and every 5-7500 from there.

Hey. Yeah, mine is approaching 5000 miles too. Not sure if I should wait out for Inspection I or should I change it a couple times before that. If so, what type of synthetic oil should I buy? From where and is it easy for me to DIY.

Inspection 1 is at about 30K miles.
