Quick question about Seafoam

Has anyone ever put Seafoam into their oil, as in directly adding some to the crankcase? On the bottle, it says it's safe to do so, but I haven't heard of anyone doing it on the E46. I know it's safe to put it in through a vacuum hose and the gas tank, but I'm curious if anyone has added it straight to the oil. And if so, what were the results?

Thanks for the input guys!

I think about 300 miles before my next oil change, I'm going to put some in the gas tank and crankcase. That way, changing out the oil should flush all the gunk out right?

Works great. I use it before every other oil change. It gets a lot of crap out. I don't put it in the intake. Rather I use about half the bottle through the brake booster line while I have someone hold the car's RPMs at 2000. Then pour 1/4 into the crankcase, then another 1/4 into the gas tank. Stuff does wonders, and takes out a lot of crap.

Shut the car off, and just yank at it hard. Wiggle it around and just pull. It'll come out after some convincing, it's hard because it is a vacuum line so it's going to be stuck on.

What I do is, put seafoam in a plastic cup, undo the brake booster line, and then just have a friend hold my RPMs at 2000 while I slowly let it suck in the seafoam a bit at a time. Sit the car for 15 minutes, start it up, and hold the revs up for a bit. It'll start sounding/feeling like it's choking, and you'll get some poopoo spewing out your exhaust.

You can add Seafoam in the gas tank, to your oil, and through a vacuum hose (usually the brake booster line). Only when you put it through the vacuum hose do you get smoke. Otherwise, it's just doing its thang in your engine.

On that note. Big giant  to the OP and the idiots who think he's nuts for adding it to his gas tank. YOU CAN DO THAT. IT EVEN SAYS IT ON THE BOTTLE.
