Is it possible to install a navigation system in a beemer that didnt come with navigation, for example, a 2002 M3?

Does anyone know how much it would cost for the unit and then the install?

yes, it's possible, but I hear that it's also very expensive. Someone on here did a DIY for it, i think MITE46 or something like that. Do a search you should find some things on the subject.

about 4 grand...better off getting an aftermarket one plus it's a lot better

Busy with retrofitting the OEM nav.

Bought the 2 sets (monitor set + MK4, radio, etc set)

That's the most expensive part.

For installing the additonal wiring harness you have rip out your driver seat, carpet, etc.
Lots of work, but easy.

The difficult part is to convience the BMW dealer to encode the system.

Don't forget to disconnect the battery, or else airbag warning signal on the dash will be on all the time.
