Wow, where do I get these and how much are they? Are they white?
The part number is above and you'll need two of them, a resistor for each also. They should be available at your dealership since you're in Germany.

My dealership quoted me $15 USD each and yes, they are xenon-white like on the '08 models.

You'll also need these too:

order 2 of each

OOh sounds interesting.....

How come the E90 DIY guide didn't mention anything about resistors? Do the E90's not need it, but the E46's do?

So the only thing that is really stopping everyone from doing this is:
a. Do the lights fit in the e46 hole?
b. How much resistance is needed to keep the dash lights from going on?
c. Who is willing to be the guinea pig? lol

lol that pretty much sums it up.

is there a difference in part numbers for left and right sides?

it's kind of hard to put resistors in that space though, if you were able to, you can use the LED bulbs no problem.

a. I went to my dealership to pick them up and they forgot to place my order :bawling: So I'll be having to get them overnighted elsewheres.
b. From what I see a 25W 30 ohm works on a 5er, so it should be the same on ours.
c. I'll be attempting this

i'm willing to try this, but i need to know if there are different part numbers for the left and right sides
L and R sides are the same part #

As for the resistor, I'm trying to source one w/ a heatsink to keep things cool since I have a vorsteiner trunk. Don't want anything to melt.
