Just Realized that im runnin an OBX... Had the car in the lift the other day and saw the label that was hiding from me all this time.... lol. Dont know how i missed this.. I have it on my 323ci since i bought it. I do not know HOW LONG its been on the car, but ive been running it for 3 years now and actually really like its sound. Keeps that FACTORY feel and wraps it with the performance sound.. Dont know if that makes sense, But let me just say, I AM NOT a fan of the fart can that get glued on ALOT of kids cars... As far as price, I looked mine up, and 600+ seems fair to me. Mine has a different straight pipe though. I swear im close to 3''.
I have had the OBX catback on my 2001 330Ci for almost 2 years now, but only about 10-15k miles. I was very skeptical about buying an "eBay" exhaust, but it was a mid-range price so I took a chance. Very impressed and highly recommended.
Looks great. Not cheap or ricey.
Direct bold-on (except possibly extended exhaust hangers)
Sounds great. Very deep rumple. No raspy-ness at all.
Almost too quiet when I first installed it, but I think it has gotten louder over time.
THE BAD (all minor stuff)
There are these thin little tabs of metal that are welded on to secure the 2 exhaust tubes together in a few places. The welds broke and the tabs started rattling. I simply pulled off all the tabs; they don't appear to be needed at all.
The exhaust tips are too high and melted my bumper. Only noticeable if you look up close or from the bottom. Extended exhaust hangers needed?
The round exhaust clamps that connect 2 sections of the exhaust seem kinda cheap, one got all bent up and had to replace it.
