my dad has always been into sports cars, his first car was a 66 corvette stingray, his second was a 69 jaguar xke. then he traded that in for a bunch of shitty cars while he was starting his practice, then he got a 79 vette with a 350 v8 in it. he drove boring sedans while he built up his practice, then in 95 he bought himself a 993 c4 coupe. traded that in in 98 for a 99 996 c2 cab, then in late 02 got an 03 996 c4s, and just traded that in for an 06 997 c4s
I bought it for my (now ex-) wife in 1996. I picked it because it was Diesel and it had an automatic tranny since she refused to learn to drive a manual transmission. It was also cheap and close to the Kaserne where we were stationed at the time.
