So I was just messing around in inpa with my car and I pressed adaptation throttle valve clearing and my car started acting really strange it basically went into limp mode DSC lights were on and it wouldn’t accelerate. I had inpa there so I was able to get the car back to normal but has this happened to anyone else?

Why do folks clear adaptations? I just don't get it.
Clear the fault codes and take it for a good drive, normally.
It will readapt.

is adaptation clearing really necessary? would it not just adapt to the current/latest condition and forget about the past?

That happened to me once when I tried to reset adaptations on just ONE function.

when I reset ALL adaptations, the rough running went away

I cleared adaptations and noticed no real issues, but I certainly didn't do it with the motor running.

What would happen if the engine were running? Is there no going back or wha,?

Incase it happens to anyone else, if you clear the adaptions while you’re running it’ll go straight into limp mode, all you need to do is
1. Turn the car off
2. Turn to the ignition
3. Clear adaptions again
4. Clear the codes on the engine because you’ll get a tps sensor code thatll cause limp mode as well as the shadow memory. Once cleared it won’t come back
5.You’re all good!
