2002 325 ci
During the morning drove the car around for about 2 hours. Parked came back a few hours later. No crank No start. Tried jump start. Tried push start (manual trans). When the door is open I don't hear the door chiming at me. I jumped the gray relay box (EWS) under the dash. I can get the car to turn over. Still no start. I have checked the fuses in the glove box, and they are all fine. I have not used a test light yet at the ignition switch to check power in and out. Any and all help would be greatly appreciate.

I have no door chime. I replaced ignition switch. Still no start. I don't have a tip smallest to fit into the pins at the ews connector. To check power or voltage.

I have a feeling it is just that the key somehow has 0 power and or the key has lost its programming some how.

I started looking and reading the e46 list of no start issues. There are almost 3k post in there to read through.

Its possible that the chip inside the key is broken,, try another key ,,or make a new key at locksmit ,and for this job u must take the ews with u to the locksmit..

U can also try bmw scanner 1.4 and check the ews to see if the key status are oke..

use a small cloth pin for the task, then the meter lead touching the pin or pins.

Now these are actually good suggestions, albeit bad spelling and grammar.

Try another key.
Use BMW Scanner 1.4 to look at EWS live data.

If I had another key I would have. I am going to see if someone has one in my area.
At this time I don't have the software. I only found out about it this week.

You need two keys in case one breaks.

i got to a road block. i towed it back to the dealer. They came back with the ews.

ews replaced and programed. Now the cluster is not letting the car start.

Maybe u should get bmw scanner 1.4 ..and copy the cluster to ews or
Lcm copy to ews
Lcm copy to cluster
Because your lcm still has the original files and also not been changed..and if everything works good there should be no errors at the bmw scanner 1.4.

Cluster can be removed and the car should start and drive. Try that.
