I swear these DSLRs are really overlapping.


D500 looks like a replacement for the Nikon D7200 adding everything that the D750 should have. Touchscreen and NFC.

That D500 is finally the replacement for the D300/D300s that many of the wildlife and birding shooters have been waiting for. The D7XXX bodies just don't have the same dimensions/heft/weather-sealing of the D300/D700/D800 series.

Nor FPS/buffer. As you said it's Nikon's long awaited (8 years?) "pro-DX" replacement.
