i need some information from you fellow zhp sedan guys.......heres the background.... i have a 2003 330i ZHP and i am going to do some performance mods this summer(headers, high flow cats, larger piping, cai, software, and pullies, possibly a LWF....but im not sure about the last one)
I am going to compile information of how fast our cars get through a certain gear......2nd....before and after the mods to see what actual difference there is on the street in terms of average time through the gears......dont worry i will be doing 3-4 dyno days after various perf. mods

Directions:
Take your car out and rev low in first so you come into second under 2500RPM, when you have stabilized RPM at 2500 start the stopwatch and floor it atthe same time, let it rev at full throttle, stop the stopwatch when the needle hits 6800RPM and shift......make sure that the A/C is off

The Main Things to Include in a Reply....

1. Mods that make the car go faster or slower....ie rims, include weights
2. Ambient temperature
3. Average Mpg
4. Miles to Empty
5. Slope or grade...preferrably flat for accurate results
6. Recorded time from 2500 to 6800
7. Miles on the car

.......This would be really cool to have ZHP stats so please help me out.....

I'll go out and do some info gathering later in the week.
I'm having issues with my clutch/fly/ssk at the moment.
Going into the shop on Tuesday am.

For an idea, my car has:
new Dinan CAI, Hi Flow TB, Stage III software and Dinan Hi Flow exhaust.
Also, 18" Staggered CSLs and PS2s. Wheel/Tire combo dropped about 4-5 lbs per corner.

I did a few Gtech PRO runs last week, before the car issues started.

5.17, 5.2 were my best 0-60 times.
Didn't get any 1/4 mile times, as I was on deserted, but still, public roads.

Once fixed, I'll do the times.

I'm also probably going to do, soon:
Technik Headers
LW Fly/Clutch, UUC

and in about 2-3 weeks, she'll be getting a 3.38LSD.

ps: videos won't play for some reason ????

AUTO is fine just use step mode and keep it in second..........going from 2500 makes sure the the torque converter doesnt have a real chance to slip......

What's the pass file ? (post up the pass file)

Not sure yet.

I was getting really rough start ups/shut downs.
I am getting shaking/ROUGH idle at stop lights.
(coils ? cam sensors ?)

Also, I think my SSK was install wrong or got loose.
I'm getting a lot of fly/clutch chatter around 4-5K.
Worse in First gear, but evident it all gears.
Also, if I rest my hand on the shifter, you hear a metal on metal vibration.
NONE of this we evident the first few weeks it was on the car.

Also, it is VERY rough engaging 1st and 2nd.
I thought it would wear in, but it's not any better, worse maybe.
So bad that some times you have to FORCE it in gear.
It's a B+M ssk.

no. this isn't the LW fly/clutch set up.

this is the stock set up.

I bought the car with 4900 miles on it.
It only has 6400 on it now.

I think/know it's related to the ssk.

I've driven mt's all my life. I had one car with 167K on it, on the stock clutch/fly. Unless the previous owner killed the clutch and the bad ssk install blew it.

I don't think the clutch/fly is killed. Just think the ssk needs to be properly alligned/installed.

BUT, I was thinking about UUC Perf. Org and LW Fly before this occured.
Or maybe jut the Perf Org clutch, for a little more grip when I do wanna launch it hard..... (once I get the 3.38 LSD installed  )

btw, I can't get any of your vids to play.

I get a 'Playlist format not recognized' warning from put file.

Fully loaded Powerbook, so I don't think it's a computer thing...????
