My power and ground wires are too short to connect to my accessory wire. What can I do so I can connect them? I have a wire tap handy for my accessory wire but I'm not sure what I can do about the short cable that connects to the rest of my LEDs

Extend them buy some electrical wire from a close buy electronic store and solder them.

Will eletrical tape be fine as a substitute? Also if the cable has 2 wires, do I just buy the same cable with same amount of wires? Like mine has 2 wires so it can be a 12V?

Yes, its not ideal but it would work, ive done the twist the wires and tape em up together. lol just make sure to put alot of tape so that they dont come apart. yes thats fine just dont get the wires mixed up you might cause a short, or blow a fuse. You can buy diffrent color of wire if you want, or just go dab one wire with a sharpie to be able detect which is which.

Just one more question about the wiring. I'm about to wire tap my accessory wire and with my kit i have this wire http://puu.sh/juCUV/1ccf95398f.jpg . Am I still able to use a regular wire tap or do I have to separate the two wires and route them separately?

You should be good, just remember which one is positive and which one is negative to the ones that your tapping them into.
