Hey everyone,

I have the opportunity to sell my 2005 325ci for $17K with 66,000 miles with an automatic transmission and purchase a 2002 M3 for $15K with 126,000 miles on it and an SMG transmission.

The M3 is in great shape and has a good service history. Color is black on black. One owner and havs been in the same town since its' purchase.

Things to consider:
1. Double the miles
2. 3 years older
3. Maintenance (although I have done everything myself on the 325ci)

Is the purchase price good? What do I need to look out for? What type of questions so I need to ask? I probably will not have a chance to drive the car and will have it shipped to me.

Thanks everyone in advance.

That's a tough call...Is it out of the question to sell your car, and dish out an extra $3-5k for a sub-80k mile M3?

I like to at least test drive a car prior to buying. What you can do in your situation is have a reputable shop in that area do a point inspection for you. Also, check to see if any recalls were issued and performed for that year production.
