To make a long story short, Im about to get the deal of a lifetime. I just need an opinion on this. Im looking at a 99.5 323i 5spd with only 105k. When you push the clutch in about 80% everything is normal. Clutch feels and grabs fine. (not worn or slipping) If you keep pushing it, you get a chattering in the pedal, a chattering sound, if you keep pushing, it will stall the engine. I searched through a lot of posts but came up empty handed. Im going towards a shot throwout bearing. Im just hoping the pilot isnt shot causing crank walk or anything bad. Has anyone come across anything like this? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks guys....

Add the cost for clutch replacement on top, then see if the price is still good.
105k miles with a bad clutch is pretty awful, must had a lifetime abuse.

As I stated in my post. The clutch is fine. It grabs great with no slip. But the chattering is what im questioning. This car is relative to a bitty-mobile. As if an old person owned it.
