[Titan 3]

My care seems to have an idle problem.
When the rpm's come back down from driving, they fall to about 700 and spudder for a second. Then the needle pops back up to a grand, and evens out. This has been an ongoing problem for about a yeay now. The dealer cant find anything wrong.....????
BTW the car is in neutral when this happens. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the club....does it mostly happen when it is cold, or when you first start it in the morning??

nope... all the time. It is non-stop.... GRRR I'm over it already.

okay...in my car it would only do it cold, but yours may be worse... here is the service invoice:

CUSTOMER STATES VEHICLE RUNS ROUGH AND DIES WHILE WARMING UP IN THE MORNING WHEN COLD.

CAUSE: VANOS ASSEMBLY GEARS ARE WORN, REPLACED VANOS, ADJUST GEARS AND VANOS ASSEMBLY.

PARTS:
(1) 11-36-1-440-142 AT-ADJUST UNIT
(1) 11-36-1-433-817 GASKET STEEL
(1) 11-36-1-438-306 TOOTH SLEEVE
(2) 11-36-1-715-027 SHAFT
(1) 11-36-1-744-263 SPROCKET
(1) 11-12-9-070-990 PROFILE GASKET SET

ALSO, REPLACE VANOS CONTROL UNIT AND CLEARED FAULT MEMORY AND CHECK TIMING OF CAMSHAFT

Pretty much they replaced my entire vanos system.
