I'm taking my car apart to fix the coolant hard pipes and when I took off the idle control valve, I checked it and it wasn't making any flapping noise. It didn't look to dirty but I shot a spray of brake cleaner in it and that didn't help. I could use throttle body or carbuter cleaner but I don't have any right now. Is that going to make a difference or should I just buy a new one? Probably has 260k on it and the last time I checked it three years ago, it did flap back and forth. The car was running okay at start up and after it warmed up. Nothing really noticeable.
